Bergman - Ett År, Ett Liv plot
Over a period of six years, in the middle of the twentieth century, something unsurpassed happens. A lanky Swede, on the brink of turning forty, enters film production without precedent. Between 1957 and 1963, he directed some of the greatest classics in cinema history, produced a number of stage and radio theater productions, and also directed six TV films. In terms of contemporary filmmakers, Ingmar Bergman remains largely unmatched. Through more than 50 interviews (including with Bergman's older brother Dag, Mikael Persbrandt, Liv Ullmann and Roy Andersson) and archival material and animation works, Magnusson portrays not only the artist, but also the man with his flaws.
