Jeanne Moreau, l'Affranchie plot
Jeanne Moreau (1928-2017) was one of the most celebrated actresses in French film history. She had her big break in 1958 with her role in the Louis Malle classic 'Ascenseur pour l'Échafaud'. In the following years, Moreau became a figurehead of the Nouveau Vague, through her collaboration with directors such as François Truffaut. On a personal level, Moreau had an eventful love life, and had relationships with Malle, Truffaut and Miles Davis, among others; and she was married three times.
