Ma'ohi Nui, au Cœur de l'Océan Mon Pays plot

Tahiti, French Polynesia. Between the international airport runway and a small hill is a district called Flamboyant. There they say "district" not to mention a "slum". French colonial history and thirty years of nuclear tests have filled these districts with an alienated and exhausting people. Like the radioactivity that cannot be felt or seen, but lasts for hundreds of thousands of years, the contamination of the mind has slowly and permanently established itself. Today, the residents of Ma'ohi Nui are subordinate people who have forgotten their language, ignored their history, and lost their connection to their land and their relationship to the world.
