"A bioethical horror movie for the whole family"

A placenta comes to life after Marianne (Pascal Maetens) experiences cot death. Now she's trying to raise this placenta named Luke. He turns out to be a rather intelligent and sensitive placenta. Unfortunately, not everyone is. The world is full of hateful prostitutes, drug and alcohol addicts. That's why Luke can't take it anymore and takes the law into his own hands.

Belgian Troma? Yes! Only the enthusiasm cooled down quickly, because this was not very impressive. Many references seem to be to the Basket case where the link with the creature is quickly made. Not a twin, but a living placenta. A placenta that received more attention than the (stillborn) child.

Then a kind of coming of age of the placenta. With a historical quip, but a very weak one. The placenta gets a priest as godfather (you can guess what happens next), he falls in love, gets bullied, etc. ...

I didn't see much horror in it and I didn't really enjoy it. A C-level film. Weak.
