"You've been chosen"
On Halloween morning, a family is unlucky to find a chain letter on their doorstep. According to the Boo! legend, you must forward the scary letter as soon as possible or you will be hunted by a dark evil. With no time for ghost stories, the father, James, burns the chain letter, much to the horror of his 12-year-old son Caleb, who seriously believes in the power of the Boo. His teenage daughter Morgan and his troubled wife Elyse pay no heed to the letter until they realize the Boo's curse has opened horrifying visions of their deepest, darkest fears.

This film is really not worth watching, in my opinion it is not even worth the label B film. There is no tension and the bad acting and the long dialogues are soporific.
Another detail that bothered me personally is the excessive smoking in this film. It really doesn't fit in this time anymore. I turned the film off after half an hour.

Director Luke Jaden seeks his horror from a psychological angle, but mainly develops a film with it that is impossible to make head or tail of. The common thread is a curse that is transferred by mail to a home address and within that area the puppets quickly start dancing, but the haunting that follows does not take on any exciting form. The acting is also very mediocre and the critical underlayer of religion is barely released. Jaden does not aim for any form of atmosphere or tension and that ultimately turns out to be the killer for a film like Boo!, which is therefore rather difficult to watch and can only benefit from some strange images in the final phase.
