Crocodile plot

Mia (Andrea Riseborough) is an architect who at a young age, after a night out with a friend, witnesses a cyclist on his way home, who is killed instantly. Since they've both been drinking and her boyfriend is afraid of going to jail, they decide to make the body disappear. She goes on with her life, but years later that friend is at her door again. He wants to confess what he has done in a letter to the wife of the deceased man. Mia doesn't want that and takes extreme measures.

In itself not an innovative plot where you are presented with a situation that anyone could find themselves in. Apart from the drunkenness that is. The question is always: what do you do with it? Furthermore, the plot is seriously muddled and very clichéd. Obviously someone will have remorse. What then follows is a ruthless killing spree. Everyone has to believe it. Only the hamster was forgotten.

In itself this plot was enough to make something of it, but it wouldn't be called Black Mirror if technology didn't come into play. Annoying and unnecessary scenes like Onderhond once again portray a similar chip that fumbles in your memory. There is too much tapping on the same nail. That is surely the biggest disappointment of Black Mirror. Nevertheless, I enjoyed watching it, but it never really becomes wow.

One more to go...

Visually one of the better ones, with those beautiful desolate landscapes that also appear very vast and desolate with excellent use of the wide image. Well done. Furthermore, a somewhat mediocre plot that slips further and further into a simple pulp film and not particularly acted at all. The technology bit is just hanging in there and the poverty of ideas is starting to become clear in this season. 2.5*.

Like the previous BM, a future gadget is the guideline for a standard story. Worked out better here. But the protagonist who murders to cover up his own ugly things, has been told so many times. The fact that it would now be a gadget that brings it to light does not change much. The build-up to this also takes too long (we see the insurer person do the same action 3 times). Excellent acting and beautiful images. Nice twist with the guinea pig.
