When the culture of reckoning on the internet becomes a public tribunal with fatalities. It starts with a 'noir' murder investigation with a faded detective (Kelly Macdonald) who recruits a rookie (Faye Marsay) into a controversial new case. The murder of a public figure, hated by the entire nation, turns out to be the work of a serial killer, who commits his murders on the command of a commonly used hashtag. Is the perpetrator guilty, or the people who (thoughtlessly) spread online hatred? Or the technology itself? Like in the better episodes of Black Mirror: the SF elements gradually come to the surface and thus create the uncanny feeling that the interference of technology is not something of the future. It is also clear that the makers (with the new possibilities of Netflix) have more budget to shape their SF worlds. The clumsy part is a bit off from the series, with a few scenes in which the special effects certainly have added value. Just a shame about the lame and run-down ending.

Hey, nice, the girl from Trainspotting. Otherwise this episode is okay, which, especially due to its length, feels much more like a movie than other episodes. Although on the other hand it also feels like an extended episode of a crime or a detective. Occasionally creepy with those bites (sometimes reminded me of The Birds) and the story is reasonable, although it is not really very profound. Research is a bit easy, for example, for the feeling that everything passes smoothly. Also quite similar to themes that are already happening, but I'd rather see some crazy sci-fi than that social criticism. All in all, this is quite easy to watch and is not particularly special, but is sufficient as an hour and a half of entertainment. 3.0*.

The futuristic technological approach combined with social criticism is also the main theme in this BM.
In the beginning an attempt is made to be mysterious with the two fatal cases, but due to the forced short shot of the drone bee in an early scene, it is clear that it has something to do with it.
After that is clear, it is mainly a hacker story, against which the police have to use their technical knowledge (which comes from the rookie). The moral that is told about the (morbid) power of social media and the ignorance of the people who use it - in this way - appeals to me. Although many people will say that, they will still be largely blind to the social change it has brought about, and not necessarily for the better. Of course it is also enlarged in this BM, but that is allowed to convey the message. Nice full-length, but not the strongest.
