Michel, Acteur Verliest de Woorden plot

Michel van Dosselaere (Ghent, 1948) is an actor. In 2014, he was diagnosed with a rare form of progressive aphasia, a brain disorder that affects the speech center. This film shows how he copes with the loss of his words and thus of the profession that he has been practicing for so long. Together with his wife Irma Wijsman and Patrick Minks, he is looking for new ways to express himself, to stay sharp and to say goodbye to his life as an actor in an impressive way. From his farewell role in the performance Borgen to the medical consultations at the Alzheimer's Center; from the boxing and drumming lessons to the reactions of friends and colleagues who try to put themselves in a situation where the words are still stuck in your head and you can't pronounce them anymore.
