"Evolution is sexy."
Contemporary Moscow. A gallery photographer, who has made a name for himself photographing the genitals of random men and women, lies in a coffin surrounded by some friends and acquaintances. They all have an intimate secret: the struggle to achieve their own form of sexual satisfaction, whether it's the censorship officer who spends her evenings with her vibrator or the psychiatrist who picks up prostitutes to wash their hair.

A satire made with a great sense of humor and a bold wink about the sexual frustrations of contemporary, intellectual Muscovites. The directors do not shy away from addressing sensitive taboos in Russia and in the process exposing double standards and hypocrisy regarding sexuality.
The light-hearted atmosphere and the beautiful camera work with many long shots make this a nice tragicomedy that deserves a wider audience.

BBarbie sums it up well, I think. I was amused by watching that series of wandering souls, looking for some entertainment and happiness in love, or better yet: satisfying their (sexual) needs. But there isn't much of a story and we don't get any fleshing out of the characters either. But that sense of humor is fine.
