My Friend the Polish Girl plot
As the director of her first film, Katie, an American rich kid, takes a look at Alicja, an unemployed Polish actress. As Katie works her way to make a "truthful" film, she slowly begins to understand the power of her troubling subject. Her disruptive presence in Alicja's life reflects the treatment of migrants in England after the Brexit vote: welcome, used and then discarded.
