Mukoku plot
Kengo Yatabe's mother dies. His father was great at kendo, a Japanese swordsmanship, but he is now in a vegetative state. Kengo was also proficient in kendo, but he retired from martial arts after an incident. Now he spends his days drinking and working as a guard at a station building. One day, Tooru Haneda, a high school student who loves rap music, appears before Kengo. Tooru's talent in kendo rekindles his passion and Kengo resumes practicing kendo.
