Slumber plot
Alice is a rational sleep doctor who struggles with the mysterious nocturnal death of her younger brother. While conducting a routine examination of a traumatized family with sleeping problems, Alice is attacked by the father in his sleep. He is arrested and seen as the cause of the sleeping problems. However, if he is put in jail, the problems get worse. Alice is forced to put aside scientific reasoning and accept that the family is being terrorized by a parasitic demon that strikes in their sleep.
