The Lost Surrealist plot

At the age of nineteen, the English Leonora Carrington rebelled against her nouveau riche family by opting for an art education and a relationship with the surrealist artist Max Ernst. At the outbreak of World War II, a number of dramatic events led Leonora Carrington to flee to Mexico. The mystical side of Mexico proved to be a great inspiration for the artist, who would never return to England.
