In recent years, more and more reports have appeared in our media about police brutality in the United States. The fact that mainly African Americans are the victims has already led to a lot of protest in the US and in other countries - just think of the international 'Black Lives Matter' movement. In the wake of the July 7 murder of five police officers in Dallas, in retaliation for the recent police brutality by white officers against black citizens, the BBC moved to New York, the city that has the largest police force in the country. Documentary maker Ben Steele sets out in the city with so-called 'cop watchers', people who have made it their mission to capture possible cases of excessive and unnecessary police brutality and to denounce it in this way.
