Western North Dakota. Anna, a single mother and paleontologist, and McCoy, a meth-addicted worker, form a unique bond as they both try to cope with their criminal pasts. Their hope lies in a large fossil of a T-Rex worth millions. This will enable Anna to restore her career and her relationship with her son. McCoy needs the money to pay off his debts to a local cartel boss and save his daughter.
