Un Français Nommé Gabin plot
Jean Gabin (1904-1976) was a French dancer, film actor and war hero, who was popular in the period before World War II. His career as a film actor was preceded by work as an entertainer in cabarets. Between 1931 and his death in 1976, Gabin made more than 90 films and received multiple awards for his work. In his (main) roles he did not often play on the emotions, but rather a calm man with a powerful appearance, a smart worker. His first role was that of the tough and sympathetic anti-hero on the fringes of society. Later, he often appeared in detective films.
