Jean-Etienne Fougerole is a French media figure from the literary scene. He is married to a wealthy heiress, who has lost all touch with reality. During a television debate, he promotes his new novel “A bras ouverts”, in which he calls on all the wealthy to take care of the poor in their homes'. His opponent challenges him to put his words into action. The heavily sore Fougerole feels cornered and accepts his challenge not to lose face. That same evening the bell rings in his posh-chic villa in Marnes-la-Coquette. Fougerole's beliefs will be severely tested...

Quite a nice comedy film from French soil, regularly appears slapstick and, especially in the first hour, manages to remain quite entertaining and at times even nice and loud.
Still, I found the last half hour to be too long-winded and too predictable, as if she wanted to put everything into 30 minutes, which was almost all transparent and rather bland.
À Bras Ouverts is quite entertaining and there is certainly a lot to laugh about, but I secretly hoped for a bit more.
