The Loving Story plot

Richard Loving, a white man, married Mildred Jeter, a black woman of Cherokee roots, in Washington in 1958. Returning home to Virginia, where interracial marriages were banned, they were promptly arrested and charged with "miscegenation." In 1967, with the help of two passionate lawyers, they managed to take their case to the Supreme Court, where a landmark ruling was to be handed down.
