The Incident plot

Annabel moves with her husband Joe to a house sheltered in the woods. Their prosperous, metropolitan life is interrupted by the arrival of Lily, a headstrong teenager who breaks into their home during Joe's absence. This arrival frightens Annabel and the event makes her emotionally unstable. She reacts coolly and distantly to Joe, who becomes disturbed in his own way.
