Le Paon de Nuit plot

In China, French student and musician Elsa fell in love with Ma Rong, a master of the shakuhachi (Japanese flute) and owner of a silk butterfly factory. Elsa becomes fascinated by the insects. Later, however, she meets Lin, an opera singer who falls in love with her. Things get even more complicated when in Paris, Elsa meets Ma Rong's younger brother, Ma Jianmin, who puts up tattoos to stir emotions between people. The two fall in love.
