Code of a Killer plot

England, 1984. Inspector David Baker leads the investigation into the murder of two schoolgirls in Leicestershire. Alec Jeffreys is an ambitious scientist on the hunt for a groundbreaking way to compare DNA traces. Baker is convinced that the killer is a local resident and uses Jeffreys' brand new method to track him down.

Smoothly told, interesting three-part miniseries about the true hunt for a murderer in British Leicestershire in 1984. Based on groundbreaking work in the field of DNA led by Alec Jeffreys (John Simm), the police investigation takes a completely different turn. Just a bit too short and superficial to really make an impression, with some overly thick acting from Simm here and there. Apart from that, quite exciting and nowhere less than entertaining.
