Seoul in the 1970s. During the height of political corruption, the southern part of the city, Gangnam, is slowly but surely developing into a prosperous district. Childhood friends Jong-dae and Yong-ki struggle daily to make ends meet. When their homes are demolished by local criminals, they become involved in violent conflict and become alienated from each other.
