"Life and fate in the time of human trafficking"

Half a million Cambodians work abroad, a third of them are exploited as slaves. In Thailand, Malaysia and Taiwan – but sometimes also Europe and the United States – men work as construction workers or in the shrimp industry and women as servants, factory workers or prostitutes.
