Dukhtar plot
"A mother's extraordinary journey begins in the heart of Pakistan."
At the age of fifteen, Allah Rakhi was married off to the much older chieftain Daulat Khan, who took her from Lahore to the mountains of Pakistan. Twenty years later, her husband wants to make peace with Tor Gul, the leader of a rival tribe, and for that he will offer the tribal leader their 10-year-old daughter Zainab in marriage. Allah Rakhi does not want her daughter to experience the same as herself and she flees with her daughter to Lahore. They can go with Sohail, a sympathetic truck driver. Allah Rakhi has lied to the man about the reason for their trip and when Sohail finds out the true facts, he wonders whether he still wants to help mother and daughter further.
