Our World War plot

August 1914, two weeks after World War I was declared. 80,000 British troops have arrived in the south of Belgium, but they have not yet made contact with the enemy. This includes the 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, with some of the best trained gunners in the British Army. Lieutenant Dease Maurice and his friend, Australian Lieutenant Fred Steele, are two of the gunmen who camp at Nimy Bridge, next to the Mons-Condé Canal.
