'This year will be my year, it has to be!' Since 1977, Sam Klemke has looked back via video on 'his year' as a pioneer 'status updater'. With the illusion of progress, he hoped to encourage "personal growth and improvement." That same year, NASA launched Voyager with the Golden Record. While NASA mainly paints a positive image of people, Klemke's honest self-portraits zoom in on the individual.
