An unpolished look at five "survivors" and their daily rhythm in an apocalyptic world. Rick, Cindy and "Godfather" Lalo live in the tunnels of the sewers in Las Vegas. Dave spends his time in an abandoned army bunker in the California desert. April prepares in Utah for an eventual trip to Mars.

Number 13 on the 2015 IFFR audience score list. A festival hit from a debutant. That 2015 audience wasn't so bad after all! My second IFFR UNLEASHED experience features futuristic and terribly impressive visuals that, on the one hand—especially in combination with the soundtrack—remind you of a music video by—say—The Prodigy or experimental sci-fi, but on the other hand, are true to nature, beautiful, simple, and intimate. It is just a little less easy to watch from your armchair; in a cinema seat, I can imagine you become completely one with this film. Either way: the adventurous trip past Mother Earth's peculiar creatures was more than worth it.

Loser [Ramiro Alonso] on vacation loses a game of poker to a man [Antonio Banderas], who then offers him, his sister [Laura Marano], and three friends a trip on a luxury yacht with a shark cage. It reeks of crime, of course. A lame action thriller full of close-ups of the actors in diving suits who dubbed the dialogue later. Unfortunately, Banderas has had a nose for this kind of cheap trash lately.
