The Amish. In daily life they travel by horse and carriage, strung with generally rejected trotters. But the filmmaker discovered that nothing human is alien to them: they fall for the luxurious Dutch harness horse and spend a lot of money on it. Amish also seem to be guided by an increase in status. How do they reconcile this luxury with their austere lifestyle?
