Patria plot
The true story of Arthur Knaap. A Dutch East Indies boy who volunteered to fight in the trenches of the First World War. From those trenches, Arthur wrote letters home. Letters full of his emotions, stories of the struggle and the zeitgeist. Arthur was a young man who thought war would be adventurous. He was in love with Paris and with his French girlfriend. Arthur was a real family animal and felt it was his duty to fight for his beloved France. He was incensed about the fact that the Netherlands remained aloof.
