Risttuules plot
It is June 4, 1941 at 3 o'clock. More than 40,000 people from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are deported by the Soviets to Siberia. Among them is a philosophy student named Erna, a happily married mother of a little girl. Erna and her daughter are separated from her husband and deported to remote Siberian areas along with other women and children. Despite the hunger, fear and brutal humiliation, Erna never loses her sense of freedom and her hope of returning to her homeland for the next fifteen years. The story is based on true events.
