Ceux de 14 plot

It is 1914. The young Maurice Genevoix is a bright and smart student. His life is shattered by the mobilization: like the rest of his generation, he ends up overnight in the unimaginable world called war. Like a toy in a fierce whirlwind, he experiences the most bizarre adventures, sometimes funny, often very moving. Eventually, he and his fellow fighters get stuck at the foot of a ridge at Les Eparges. The euphoria of the early days and of fighting together is over. Maurice begins to realize how absurd war really is.
