Le Coupable plot

Jerôme Lescuyer is the son of a strict magistrate, a widower who has settled in Caen. He finishes his law studies in Paris. He spends almost all of his time at work. He only makes some time for visits to his former university comrade Donadieu, an artist as talented as he is poor. Jerôme befriends the young florist Thérèse Forgeat and becomes her lover.
