After a devastating nuclear disaster, Ann (Margot Robbie) is believed to be the only survivor of the human race, until she meets critically injured scientist Loomis (Chiwetel Ejiofor). She decides to take care of him and the two develop feelings for each other. However, their relationship is strained when Caleb (Chris Pine), another survivor, shows up. Caleb is younger, fitter and stronger than Loomis. What follows is a battle between the two men for the heart of the last woman on Earth, during which their true nature will be revealed.
