Brave Little Belgium plot

Documentary series about the First World War in Belgium. 1914. War erupts when Austrian Crown Prince Franz-Ferdinand is murdered in Sarajevo by a Serbian student. Germany side with Austria and wants to attack France. However, Belgium refuses free passage, after which Germany invades Belgium in the early morning of August 4, 1914. The Belgian old forts in Liège, Leuven and Antwerp, however, offer no defense against the German armed forces. Only behind the Yser can one hold out.
