Tropenjaren plot
Comedy about the inconveniences of new parenthood and a past life that will never come back. When TV presenter Rosa and writer Jelle have their first child, a new phase in their lives begins. The young parents not only try to do the best for their daughter Stella, but also try to continue their working life and relationship as it always was: sexy and ambitious. However, going out and partying seem to be giving way to diapers and babysitters. In short, the couple is preparing for the tropics. Rosa does her best to keep all the balls in the air, but in the meantime also longs for an evening without Stella: finally let loose with loud music and sex. Jelle, on the other hand, has a greater need for rest. To avoid the crowds at home, he often visits his best friend Steve's cafe. Steve is a divorced father who struggles not only with his daughter's puberty but also with love. Rosa's sister, Bregje, turns out to be the eternal bachelor, who sees her potential true love in every new date. The series focuses on the humor of the human deficiency and embarrassing everyday moments. We see how Rosa suffers from leaking breasts at work, Jelle is terrified of the new strict nanny, we see Steve's discomfort during his daughter's first period and Bregje breaks down a car during a test drive.
