Louis Theroux's BBC Two Specials plot

Theroux looks for people or groups of people with whom one would not normally come into contact quickly. This leads to interviews with people who have unusual ideas or an unusual way of life, people who belong to a subculture whose existence is little or not known or who are looked at with a skewed view. Theroux tries to understand these people and put their ideas and behavior into perspective.

Louis Theroux's BBC Two Specials season 14

Louis Theroux, with his quasi-naive interview style, delves into the wonderful world of Israeli settlers and the power they wield over military policy. Just like in the Oscar-winning documentary 'No Other Land' (2024), you simply see how the human rights of Palestinians are violated. Even a renowned journalist like Theroux is not safe from targeted intimidation of his person. What is most astonishing is how open these armed settlers actually are about their plans to take over the West Bank and expel the Palestinians. For example, the 'friendly granny' Daniella Weiss does not waste a moment to put her ideologically reprehensible ideas on the table. And just like after the media attention surrounding 'No Other Land' (2024), the Palestinians portrayed are now being severely punished for their participation.
