The story is as mysterious as it is improbable. Lidy Sluyter, who here takes on the role of overwrought pop singer Sylvia Sommer, plays natural but is clearly not an actress.
What also doesn't help is that the story unfolds extremely slowly and nothing much happens for episodes. The recordings on Bonaire do provide the necessary beautiful images, but the local actors are not really convincing.
Peter Faber plays the role of El Loco, a stray stranger who manages to solve the mystery that is the focus of the entire series. Not really exciting, but entertaining.
