Sānguó plot
After a series of insurgents that splintered the country of China, the emperor dies without designating an heir to the throne. General Dong Zhuo forces the emperor's eldest son to commit suicide and places the younger son Liu Xie on the throne to indirectly rule the country himself. Many warlords revolt, including Cao Cao, Sun Jian, Liu Bei, Yuan Shu, and Yuan Shao. Dong Zhuo, however, is assisted by the legendary general Lü Bu. When Dong Zhuo is defeated, many warlords think they can grab the throne.
