Relaxing series indeed. The humor is for the most part not ostentatiously imposed and there is a calm vibe. Actually there are no disturbing factors, but on the other hand no memorable highlights either.
So great for in between. A bit standard though - 'average' American family with a pet - and except for the coke- neighbor and the funny antics of the neighborhood kids, it could just as well have been a sitcom with actors. The fact that it's animation doesn't add much value (but hey, why not in this way). On to season two

Old-fashioned enjoy this TV series.
As a fan of 'animation series for adults' I find this one to be a pleasure to watch. No screaming like South Park or Rick & Morty nor will you be blown away by Family Guy & The Simpsons stupidity.
After the great pilot, I expected a lot from the series. But unfortunately the level was no longer matched. I did enjoy the (for animation terms) realistic and recognizable characters. Humor could do with a bit more, there are a number of hilarious scenes in between (just a farce really) but I would like more. Also, the violence and angry behavior is not necessary, the episodes that do not contain 'violence' are generally more fun and enjoyable.
If season 2 comes with more and better humor I will give this series 4 stars. But for now, the series has to make do with 3.5 *
