The series is about the history of Europe from prehistoric times to today. In six chronological episodes, Australian historian and Cambridge professor Christopher Clark tells and presents the unique story of our continent and culture. From the geological origins of the first inhabitants, the evolution of art and religion, the achievements in exploration, technology and politics, to a state of affairs in Europe today and a view of the future of the continent. Europe has played an important role in world history for thousands of years and has laid the foundations for global modern society.
