Onze Man in Teheran plot
Thomas Erdbrink, correspondent for NRC Handelsblad and The New York Times, shows how Iran really is and how you survive in a country where nothing is allowed and everything is possible. A solar eclipse brought Thomas to Iran years ago, now he is married to a spirited photographer, and he is one of the last remaining western journalists in a country that is always at war with the rest of the world. It took many years to get permissions to follow Thomas through his work and personal life in Iran. The result is unprecedented access to a complex country where society is chafing and squatting, but where it is an oasis of calm compared to neighboring countries Iraq and Afghanistan.
