Sacred Rivers with Simon Reeve plot

Writer/presenter Simon Reeve combines history, culture and adventure in his travel stories. This time, he follows three of the most iconic rivers in the world: the Nile, the Yangtze River and the Ganges. He introduces us to the people who live and work on and along those rivers, and examines how the three mighty streams are sometimes a binding agent and sometimes a point of conflict in the region through which they flow. Reeve travels from the temples of Abu Simbel to the Nile Delta. Along the Yangtze River from the giant Buddha in Leshen via the Three Gorges Dam to Shanghai, and along the Ganges through a world where ancient traditions and modernity go hand in hand. An infectious enthusiasm, a good portion of humor and an unbridled curiosity remain his trademark.
