De Rechtbank plot

'De Rechtbank' is a documentary series that shows the functioning of the justice system at the level of the citizen. The lawsuits unfold before the eyes of the viewers, who, together with the judges, observe the defendants and litigants. Throughout the episodes, the viewer sees a dozen magistrates at work. Each of them puts its own emphasis in the conversations with the defendants. They carefully appraise the arguments, tears and apologies. What follows can be an understanding of the hopeless situation, indignation about the crimes committed, or a serious commotion.
