Actually, I shouldn't have watched it. If it says spies, assassins, Russian agents, then I know enough. Someone on IMBD says it's boring to the teeth, and I can only agree with him wholeheartedly.
The woman was quickly and rightly put off, her literal words, they must have gotten that with a pack of butter.
This is not a top series again, with not so great acting...yawn

The six-part German spy series Unfamiliar aligns thematically seamlessly with titles such as The Americans, Ponies, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The series initially manages to captivate with a number of (reasonably) surprising plot twists and thereby holds the viewer's attention—albeit not for long.
As the story focuses increasingly on interpersonal relationships and family tensions—who carries which secret, who can still be trusted—the suspense noticeably wanes. Instead of building depth, it feels more like the momentum is draining from the narrative. The mediocre character development doesn't help: characters remain too one-dimensional to intrigue or evoke emotion.
As a result, Unfamiliar ultimately becomes a tough watch. “The best spy is the one you never notice.” In Unfamiliar, the spies actually take ample time to introduce themselves at length—and that takes away a large part of the mystique and suspense.
