Kaos plot

Zeus, the king of the gods, one day discovers the unthinkable: a wrinkle on his forehead. Through paranoia, this leads the supreme god down a dangerous and unstable path. Zeus is convinced that his fall is near and sees omens of doom everywhere. This may be true, as Zeus' former friend and now prisoner, Prometheus, is working to make that happen. His plan involves three different people, completely unaware of their cosmic significance or the role they must play to save the world. While Zeus battles his greatest fears, the rest of his family is plotting and failing in their own ways.

Nicely different from usual. Greek mythology in a contemporary setting is a nice find. Goldblum is good in his role as a narcissistic and irritating supreme god. The series has to rely on inside jokes - some knowledge of the subject is therefore certainly an extra - and all the crazy humor. Visually beautiful. I occasionally looked on Wiki to see how it 'really was'. It also touches on serious subjects and drama, but that is less appropriate. Not all characters and storylines are equally interesting. The ending is a disappointment: actually it just starts where it has all been building up to, and that is where it stops. Very clearly set up for a season 2, which is not going to happen at all.

KAOS is a modern retelling of Greek mythology. In this drama series, the Greek gods really exist and from Mount Olympus, Zeus (a great Jeff Goldblum) literally and figuratively looks down on humanity. For the supreme god, humans are toys and mortals have only one task: to worship him. Wonderful satire and fantastic acting by basically all the actors. So it's a real, real shame that there won't be a second season.
