I'm too old for this sh!t - is what comes to mind. I'm not so good with NuTrek anymore.

In Discovery, Pike was a top captain, and the pinnacle of all of Star Trek: Discovery.

In his own series it almost seems as if he is just a manager and the rest of the crew is in charge. I found the atmosphere to be very friendly. I didn't quite understand the power relations. Was this also TOS?

I found 4/6 episodes to be decent. It's all very well-behaved, and the writers seem mostly inspired by older Trek and other sci-fi series and movies.

From a technical point of view, nothing new under the sun. Visually it is very nice.

Visually it looks fine. Started watching all the original episodes of Star Trek 2 months ago. This new one is a breath of fresh air. I was tired of the "Kissing Kirk".

I must say I am pleasantly surprised.

I like it very much I must say,

The Star Trek original series vibe is back a bit, but the first one remains by far my favorite series.

I find Pike more sympathetic than Kirk (William Shatner)

Anson Mount has the necessary charisma.

The new Spock (Ethan Peck) is my favorite in the Strange New Worlds.

What a beautiful voice that man has.

Uhura is funny, but not Nichelle Nichols.

I think "Nurse Chapel" is too exaggerated.

It remains to be seen how things will develop further.

For now, I'm happy with this.
