Beautiful series.
Elena and Lila grow up against the background of a working-class neighborhood where rivalry, jealousy, hatred and brutal violence reign. They rebel against the prevailing mentality, are already aware that what they are experiencing is not good and want a better life.
As children they have to struggle against the ignorance and unwillingness of their parents, as teenagers and young women they realize how difficult it is to build a loving life without having to deal with corruption and blackmail. True freedom is hard to find. The neighborhood will never change...
From the beginning you are captivated by the story, the compelling music and above all by the wonderful playing of the two young girls, friends for life, although their views often differ widely.
The merit of the series is certainly that it has been able to maintain the tension over the entire length.
The roles are well portrayed, the structure, editing, the voice-over by Alba Rohrwacher, the locations, the dialogues and of course the direction deserve nothing but praise.
