Well done but slow very slow I normally don't mind but here it started to bother me I don't understand the fuss that all Brits were glued to the tube. Part 2 is in the making, maybe it will appeal to me more.

I had high hopes for the missing drama Keeping Faith. Attorney Faith Howells (Eve Mercer) lives a busy life with job and family. When her husband Evan (Bradley Freegard - also Mercer's husband) disappears without a trace, a long search begins. Mercer (We Hunt Together, Broadchurch) carries Keeping Faith in every way. With a lot of screen time, close-ups and a range of emotions, Mercer pops off the screen. She doesn't do that without merit, but her in your face acting distracts from the story. In a scenario that is also quite conventional.
This Welsh thriller drama, like Hinterland and the fantastic Hidden shot bilingually in English and Welsh, has a hard time getting started. It has all the hallmarks of British drama: a compelling premise, beautiful visuals, good acting, but still not entirely convincing. Any more than the miraculous denouement can. Mercer's yellow raincoat, come on, you can call it iconic. But a good coat is not enough for a sufficient amount.
