Voices of El Alto plot

In the Bolivian city of El Alto, four thousand meters above sea level, a tent stands on a market square. Random passers-by are invited to tell a personal story, in front of the camera. Voices of El Alto opens with a young girl, half giggling, half crying, telling about a very horrific experience. It seems as if the impersonal camera is the first listening ear she's had in a long time.
