A group of left-wing radicals in Denmark starts out as political activists, but becomes an increasingly multi-layered organization; legal and illegal. A number of members stop, but some start large bank robberies. The millions they gain will be transferred to the PFLP (People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine), with the aim of supporting the Palestinian struggle against Israel. The beginning of the end is when they carry out a super heist on the old central post office on November 3, 1987 and in the ensuing shooting a 22-year-old policeman is killed with a sawed-off shotgun.
